The present work includes the preparation confirmation and bioassay of novel complexes of the ligand [3-(o-methoxy phenoxy-1, 2-propanediol], with metal Cr (III), Co (II), Ni (II) and Cu (II) were also formed and studied. The new complexes were characterized by FT-IR Spectroscopy and UV-Visible spectroscopy.
The metal complexes have been tested in vitro against a number of microorganisms (gram positive bacteria (staphylococcus aureus) and gram negative bacteria (pseudomonas aeruginosa)) in order to assess their antimicrobial properties.
All our complexes showed considerable activity against all bacteria.
